Here's a few photographs of my piece based on the Edgar Allan Poe story The Gold Bug, the display includes the tree, skull, buried treasure and of course the bug itself which all feature in the tale. Both the chest and tree are adorned with decorative gold chains symbolic of greed and excess, the treasure chest also contains a large gold ring, this is the primary accessory that is being promoted.
